Senator Jim Inhofe Dies at 89

Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) died on July 9, 2024. Senator Inhofe served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives before being elected to the U.S. Senate in 1994. During his long legislative career, he was vocal on a range of issues related to the U.S. Armed Forces, infrastructure, energy and the environment.

During his long legislative career, he was vocal on a range of issues related to the U.S. Armed Forces, infrastructure, energy and the environment. Senator Inhofe was Chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee during the establishment of the FELJ’s Mogel Internship Program. Over the years, the Mogel Internship has provided rich educational opportunities to students from University of Tulsa College of Law.

In 2007, Senator Inhofe sat down with the EBA’s Gary Guy and Channing Strother to share his views for the Fall edition of the EBA Update, and two years earlier, he wrote Energy and the Environment: The Future of Natural Gas in America for the Volume 26 No.2 of the Energy Law Journal.
