EBA Steering Committees develop educational programming and write articles for the Energy Law Journal. Committee membership is open to all EBA members and interested members may volunteer to serve a three-year leadership role on one of the six Steering Committees that best fits their area of expertise.
EBA Councils produce programming and networking opportunities that align with the various types of members, such as in-house attorneys, young attorneys, or seasoned masters. Council membership is open to all EBA members.

Responsibilities of Steering Committees
- Conduct one half-day educational workshop per year
- Oversee development of subject matter annual reports for the Energy Law Journal
Provide session ideas to the Professional Education Council to ensure content coverage at the Annual Meeting and Mid-Year Energy Forum - Conduct timely Energizers as needed
- Serve as content specialists and assist Chapters with regional programming
- Micro-volunteer opportunities as needed
