Seminar on the Impacts of the US Supreme Court’s Loper Bright Decision

Please join EBA’s Louisiana Chapter in-person at Tulane University School of Law for this informative seminar on the Impact of the US Supreme Court’s Loper Bright Decision. This seminar will be broken into 3 sessions.

In the first session, Jeremy Marwell (Partner, Vinson & Elkins) will provide an introduction to the topic and general observations on the relevance of Loper Bright to the separation of powers, administrative law, and the federal regulatory state, from a generalist appellate perspective. 

The Honorable Ted Thomas (Founder, Energize Strategies and Fmr. Chairman of the Arkansas Public Service Commission) will focus on energy regulation and the view from the adjudicatory side.  

Lastly, David Topping (Partner, Phelps Dunbar) and Sophie Gray (Associate, Phelps Dunbar) will discuss the environmental aspects, focusing on permitting.
