Ask Me Anything: A Career in Energy Law

July 11 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

Please join the EBA’s Young Lawyers Council for a free virtual panel titled, “Ask Me Anything: A Career in Energy Law.” This informative free session is designed for young professionals and students from across the country to ask attorneys questions regarding what a career in energy law can look like and to build connections within the energy community.

Our distinguished panelists include a mix of energy attorneys with a wealth of professional expertise from across private practice, federal agencies, and non-profit organizations. This event is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in exploring a career in energy law to ask some of the newer attorneys within the energy bar questions about practicing energy law and to start building out professional networks.

The event includes a moderated panel discussion designed to demonstrate different paths for an energy law career, an opportunity for attendee Q&A, and a brief breakout session for participants to get to know one another. Following the event, panelist and attendee emails will be shared with the group so that attendees can connect with one another.

Meet The Panelists:

  • Hiba Ahmed, Associate, Hogan Lovells
  • Emily Beard, Legal Advisor to Commissioner Allison Clements, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
  • Morgan Johnson, Senior Staff Attorney, Natural Resources Defense Council
  • Elizabeth (Liz) Lamoste, Attorney-Advisor, Office of the Assistant General Counsel for Clean Energy Demonstrations, Office of the General Counsel, Department of Energy
  • Moderator: Stuart Robbins, Associate, K&L Gates
