EBA Energizer: Regional Developments: State Zero-Emissions Programs
Join the Midwest Chapter in Chicago or by video webcast on June 7, 2017 at 4pm CT for an EBA Energizer titled, Regional Developments: State Zero-Emissions Program. Speakers will be presenting in the Chicago offices of Polsinelli PC, though the presentations will also be accessible via webcast. CLE approval is pending for IL.
Illinois' Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA), among other things, compensates nuclear generating facilities for the carbon-free attributes of the energy they produce. While the Illinois law is subject to litigation, similar programs are being implemented or considered in other states, including New York and Ohio. Panelists will discuss the mechanics of FEJA and similar measures to promote zero-carbon generation, and consider the economic impacts of each program.
