RE: Committee Assignments for the Term
May 2008 - May 2009
The Energy Bar Association is in the process of forming its standing committees for the May 2008 - May 2009 term. Attached is a "Committee Preference Form" for your use. It is very important to renew your affiliation with committees as the lists are cleared each year.
If you are interested in serving on one of the Association's committees, please specify your choices for committee assignments on the attached form, and return it to the fax number indicating your choice no later than
April 11, 2008.
Note that there are several new and restructured committees this year. The Environmental Committee and the Hydroelectric Committee have been restructured to form the Climate Change & Emissions Committee and the Water and Land Use, Regulation and Permitting Committee, respectively. New committees are the System Reliability, Planning and Compliance Committee, which will focus on electric transmission issues including NERC regulations and Order 890 planning, and a Professional Development Committee to undertake outreach to law students, providing mentoring and professional development guidance to young practitioners and provide ethics leadership.
In addition, several committees have been renamed to better reflect the scope of their activities. Please consult the EBA’s upcoming Spring Newsletter, which will be published shortly, for more information about the new, restructured and renamed committees.
